Joe D’Apice, a resident of Boston, earned a BFA in Painting from Montserrat College of Art in 1998. While a student, Joe was recognized with multiple honors, demonstrating excellence at a young age. Preferring to work in oil on canvas and charcoal, Joe illuminates nighttime cityscapes of Boston evoking the moods of an urban environment. His robust palette and varying intensity of light animates the canvas with as much electricity as the city he paints.
Joe holds membership with the DeCordova Museum Corporate Program, Copley Society of Boston, and the Cambridge Art Association.
