Beverly Mitchell

Biography

Beverly A. Mitchell, a resident of West Newbury, attended Montserrat School of Visual Arts and graduated in 1980. She has been a watercolorist, painter, teacher, set designer, and fabric designer over the course of her career.

She paints what she sees and gains much inspiration from the intricate and vibrant floral garden in her backyard. Infusing layers of color and patterns, Beverly creates a virtual tapestry out of the flowers she sees creating an abstract garden on the canvas. Her palette is rich in color and warms the viewer in an inviting way leaving you with a gentle appreciation for a woman who is true to her self and what inspires her.

The recipient of many awards, Beverly has had numerous solo exhibits in New England as well as group exhibitions. Her teaching experience is formidable and inspirational as she often works to teach seniors and kids.
