Vincent Romaniello
Biography
Vincent, a resident of Philadelphia, is a multifaceted artist whose passion for the paint brush is equally matched by his passion for multimedia and video work. A graduate of the Academy of Art College in 1979, Vincent also attended the School of Visual Arts in New York and the New York Academy of Art. He has been part of the residency program at the International Turning Exchange in Philadelphia and honored with awards such as Art of the State at State Museum of Harrisburg, the Claire Breheme Memorial prize from the Abington Art Center in Abington, Pa. , and from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
Vincent has been referenced in many articles and reviews, especially in Pennsylvania and New York, and his recent show the Urban Canvas was the subject of much critical acclaim. He has done many solo and group exhibitions including both domestic and international venues. While his paintings are mainly abstract in content, his video work is primarily realism with much reference to the artist community in America.
