Albric Soly
Biography
Born in Belgium in 1942, Albric Soly is an artist whose work immediately brings to mind some images of both Chagall and Picasso. His palette, texture, and feeling of movement across the canvas are characteristic of his paintings. The image/object/symbols in front of the viewer are often curved and flow with the undulations in the landscape around them, while the bright colors swirl in the mind and prevent the viewer from not stopping to take it all in. His oils bring life to the canvas and leave you feeling like his picture is an ‘alive’ place as opposed to a picture.
A resident of Quebec Canada, Soly’s works can be found in collections across the globe.
